You will not be surprised to hear that I am not usually a fan of modern gardens, either (though I don't have to say that too loudly in front of a certain young man, do I? *bg*) but I was taken with this one. Had the whole garden been in that very spare elegant style, it would have been too much, but the rest of the garden was very much "English country house" style and the contrast was very striking! And, enclosed by the tall old yews, it felt very tranquil. Sometimes, I enjoy tranquil!
