9th December
1868
"Honeysuckle out and catkins hanging in the thickets."
Gerard Manley Hopkins, 1868 (Surrey)
2009

Cold-feeling morning, though there was no frost, and Little Car said 6C when we set off - and 8C when I came home around 6.30pm! But it feels colder - maybe because everything's damp now... The moon is waning in the mornings now, and the oak is looking ever-more bare... Byslantedlight, 2009 (Cambs.)
2010

Another day where I barely saw the sun - though I saw it's sunset-glow on the horizon, a rosy blush. There were blue skies out the window though, and at night, after dark, a cold and cutting wind... Byslantedlight, 2010 (Cambs)

I really like that last pic, beautiful sky, and the tree across the road is starting to look like an old friend. It is a gorgeous tree.
