Paeonies and chrysanthemums!

The Daily Telegraph last week had a special token, so if you spent a certain sum, you got £10 extra. Which I should have used on groceries, shouldn't I, since we could finally get out of our road and out of the town after the snow melted and we were due a supermarket shop.
But, you know, dear reader, I didn't. I spoiled myself. I bought a bunch of peonies and a bunch of chrysanthemums, because they just looked so gorgeous. And I have had more than a week of immense pleasure from watching them come out - oh, and I took the odd photograph or two. You know me...
So, taken through the eight days they lasted, here is a positive symphony of pinkness!
Doesn't that  bud look just like a raspberry ripple ice-cream?

and one last one     as the petals begin to dry and wrinkle...Don't we all, lol?  (Is my 60th next month preying on my mind? Can't think why you should think that!!!)
Hope you enjoyed sharing my flowers courtesy of the Telegraph!

These are absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad you treated yourself to these lovely flowers. I'm sure they were much appreciated after being snow bound for so long. We've not been snowed in all winter, which is rare. I do understand how nice the flowers must have been to have around after being surrounded by all the wintery things.

Oh, they're very pretty! And yes - just like raspberry ripple ice cream! A reminder of other seasons still to come... *g*

Very pretty indeed! I love pink and I even chose pink/violet roses and tulips for my grandma´s grave.

Gorgeous, and 'go you' for choosing to cheer yourself with beautiful flowers instead of washing powder! And those first shots look like parts of an old painting with their black background, especially that first one.

Pretty fluffy flowers!

I especially like the close-up of the chrysanthemum.

They are gorgeous. I especially like the second last, just perfect. :-)
