I drove  all the way into town without seeing one single eagle.
:-(


This Dark Eyed Junco has a great 'hairdo'

Then late in the afternoon, this approximately three year old eagle came and perched in our walnut tree.

I think 3 year old eagles are their least attractive phase. They are entirely too blotchy.

I envy you for the sheer appearance of wild eagles. If I ever see any, they are in a zoo or a falconry. I wish we still had some here. Some more, I should say.

I know what you mean, before we moved here I'd only ever seen them in zoos. It's really kind of special to see them out and about.

It really is pretty awesome, an adult came and sat in the same tree today.

Having them in the neighbourhood has turned me from someone who could care less about birds to a bird-a-holic.
