There were some good sunrises in December - here are perhaps the best two. (Yes, I have more, don't encourage me!!)
So this first one is the scene setter, to show you what this view looks like in daylight and normal-ish light conditions. This was taken on 25 December mid-afternoon. (15:21)

These views are from the front of my house, but looking a little further South-East, from the view I've shown previously - over a neighbour's roof. The angle and zoom may vary slightly but only by a little way, they are all taken from the same spot.
The following sequence of six were taken from my bedroom window on Wednesday 12th December over a period of four minutes, starting at :
07:57:39

07:58:13

08:00:48

08:01:08

08:01:21

08:01:38

Pretty isn't it? And it sort of simmered down then and I thought that was probably the best for that morning, so I toddled off to make a cup of tea. And when I came back I looked out and to my surprise it looked like this - yes, the kitchen is at the other side of the house, so I couldn't see this from there!
08:25:01

08:31:51

08:34:41

08:37:03

08:39:03

And, just to round it off, here it is at
09:18:36

It was a pretty dull ordinary day after that colourful start!
This sequence was taken on 23 December , looking promising - lots of vapour trails,
at 07:36

07:47 - looking pretty...

07:49 and more fiery

07:53 - beautiful!

07:57 Fading as the light grows. Going....

07:59 Going...

Gone! And by 09:10, still with lots of vapour trails, a grey winter morning, still not really light!

And in case you should wonder about the number of vapour trails here, we are directly below the main flight path from Heathrow to North America! (We kind of miss Concorde's twice daily overflights, still!) By the time planes fly over us, 100 miles from London, they are pretty high, but low enough for the vapour trails on still mornings to be quite spectacular!
Some different versions of this view another time! Hope you like them.
