That first picture is amazing! Very well spotted. And - is that the shadow of a contrail in the second photo? I don't think I've ever seen that effect before.

I've seen contrail shadows before, but never been able to photograph one, so I was well-chuffed to manage it this time! But again, it's always been around this part of the country that I've seen them - unless I just wasn't noticing before? But I have always watched the skies, so you'd think I would have...
