Hey - snap! I did that this morning, though I don't know yet if they worked out - they looked as if my focus was all out when I saw the previews, and it really shouldn't have been... *worries about camera*
Thanks! Close-ups are really tricky sometimes. I tried a series of shots, then immediately checked them in Photoshop, discarded all, went out and did it all over again :-)
Yeah, my camera's/I've never had problems with it before though - but I have just checked and there is no focus to the shots! It's bad! I tried automatic, I tried manual control - I had my glasses on... *g* Weird! I've got some effects I like, which I'll post over on my lj (and maybe one here!) but... *shakes head sadly*
I had this problem once and it wasn't the camera but the lens. I've got a macro lens where you can set MANUAL or AUTOFOCUS directly on it, and it overrules the camera. And unintentionally, while taking the camera out of my bag, it was switched to MANUAL.
I wish it was that simple, but now... This is a lens as well, but I had it set specifically to Automatic - and then tried it set on Manual... and I've not messed with the digital focus settings, so.... Maybe the ice and water and sun and reflections confused it... Sometimes I miss my old Pentax K1000... *sighs*
Those are stunning! I have a new camera which I have yet to really get to know - makes me want to go out and try shots like this. However, despite it being -3 tonight, we don't actually have any snow! These look wonderful big flakes.
