Mr. Mav bought me this lovely ground bird feeder for a combination anniversary/Valentine's Day present.  I even told him he'd bought it for me BEFORE it arrived at the house...Well done, Me!  I thought it might take a few days for the little birds to get used to it, but a Dark Eyed Junco got right to it.

The eagle is definitely looking for the elusive pole 45.

Fergus was still clean as of yesterday, but he is spending two nights at doggy day care while we take a day trip.

Meanwhile...He's gone and Hermione has dissolved into tears and Harry has covered her in blankets.

He is rather fluffy.

What I'm really, really hoping for is that an eagle someday comes and grabs a quick little bird snack from the feeders. Does that make me a bad person?

Well, it's not what I'd wish for, meself, but I can certainly see where it'd make a heck of a photo!

And, I suppose, the eagles have to eat somewhere, so it might as well be in your back yard so you can take advantage of that.
