Was just listening to a radio programme this morning about the joys of travelling/tourism in Germany and why the British don't usually think of Germany as a holiday destination. It was so interesting, made me want to visit ASAP.

Yes, Hamburg is definitely an interesting holiday destination, as are Berlin and Munich etc.

Dresden is worth a visit too. Great buildings, the Semper Oper and the Frauenkirche rebuilt.
