When last we saw our intrepid cherry branch, it was just beginning to blossom.
See it here.
Picture heavy, not so good for dial-up.

5 July So begins my yearly battle with the insects and birds to get the cherries first.

6 July

Here comes the best bit! 10 July, is this cherry ripe? I'd better test it.
.
Hmmm, I think so. Oh yes, it is definitely ripe and delicious!

I grab the ones I can reach. I take them inside, they're safe from the cherry predators!!!

12 July, darn, the birds won!!!

Date: 2008-07-15 06:12 pm (UTC)The birds are very efficient here, too - I have a blueberry bush and have succeeded in picking and eating a full half dozen berries in the last two years - I think we are all watching the berries ripen and on the day they are ready, the birds get up before me!
