This was so much fun!  I think we should do more of these memes!!  It took me a bit longer to get this together than I anticipated; most of the photos are scanned from 35mm, with only a few digital pictures.  One of the photos was actually taken by my grandfather 5 years before I was born!!

Beautiful pictures, some I could guess, some not, e.g. the second largest city, the most beautiful place, the recommendation. And the last one taken by your grandfather, is fantastic! :-)

Thank you! The second largest is Big Tex at the Texas State Fair in Dallas (you knew I'd work Dallas in there somewhere, right?).

Beautiful was taken on the ferry ride between Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.

Recommended is Pike Place Market in Seattle. It's a tourist thing these days but you can still buy wonderful fresh produce and fish.

Thanks, my grandfather took that at Lake Brownwood which is in the vicinity of Abilene, where we'll be retiring.

Great variety of pics! I love number 5, looks wonderfully atmospheric. Where are numbers 10 and 12? That last one looks beautiful.
The barn in that first one is great, lovely shape and just a little ramshackle!

Thank you. Number 5 was taken at Mount Baker, the big mountain close to our house. 10 was taken on the ferry ride between Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, a gorgeous trip. The last one is the photo my grandpa took in 1958. It's Lake Brownwood which is in the vicinity of Abilene, Texas where we are going to be retiring in the next 12-18 months.

Unfortunately the barn from the first one has gone completely ramshakle by collapsing. :-(
